So I'm switching to a M3 steering wheel which has a different trim and cover for the airbag.

But the airbag is going to cost me $1200.

So I want to sell my existing one to help offset the cost. Number 8 in the diagram.

Here is the kicker. I don't want to get stuck with both so I'm hoping someone needs it and will pay upfront and patiently wait for me to ship when my other one arrives. I can't be without my car.

They are about $1000 USD currently so how does $600 sound?

It looks perfectly mint to me, car it's coming out of is a 2018 328d xDrive Touring and has about 4000miles on it.

If I'm way off base here let me know. Pricing is from the only place I can find that can even get one. Euroactive.

I can throw the wheel and trim in too, both back and front side trim but the wheel is not mint. It has a scratch, which is why I'm changing it.

If you're getting an F80 M3 wheel you do not need any different airbag...

I just switched to an M3 wheel as well and used my M-Sport airbag.

There was some misinformation in some older threads where people were confused between "Sport" and "M-Sport" airbags, but if you have the circular airbag shown, you are not going to have any issues popping that into your M3 steering wheel. I just did it.

Oh I know that it should fit, but the trim and cover are leather on the M3 version, and the M-Sport are plastic. Trying to be faithful to the swap and keep it consistent.

I'll be keeping my buttons/controls.

Heated, yes.

No paddles (if you wanted paddles you would have to make your own holes in the wheel and the back trim won't work), and yes if you want I'll get you a pic.

Ah, sorry about that. Thought you thought it was a fitment thing.

Are you sure the airbag cover is leather? Driven both my buddy's F80 and my boss's F82 and I could not tell any difference between the airbag. Kinda surprised if it actually was leather, but I guess possible I just didn't notice.

Basically the texture is finer and it's a little soft.

The plastic one is really good too. That's why I'm doing the ad like this and am going to keep it plastic if I can't sell it.

$1200 is too much for just a cover.

I can shoot you a pic of the trim side by side once it arrives.

Night and day difference.

Airbag in M3/M4 has same Merino Leather as Steering wheel and F3x has plastic covering like most of the standard BMW Covering.

M3/M4 Trim also has leather on it while F3x is plastic.

Notice in this shot the trim in hand has black plastic contouring while the one on wheel does not as its leather.

Also note the texturing in the airbag plastic that matches the plastic trim as it is not leather. You can see same in OPs original picture.

If so, $600 is very legit if can ship from USA to avoid customs. I sold mine for $650.

So many counterfeits on the market, it’s worth it to pay $100-$200 more for the added benefit of knowing its legit.

Also, props for doing airbag and trim correctly.

Attention to detail.

Not a fan of introducing more colors in car so I kept MSport wheel without red and blue thread.

Original owner yes. I think the price is fair.

I went with the coloured thread because I'm black interior so it's all black. One little splash is nice. I understand why you didn't. I like to keep things consistent as well. Too many textures etc is too busy for me.

Nope. I'll ship from WA. As far as I know there isn't a restriction on shipping them, and I'll ship it in the same packaging mine will come in.

There is a restriction as they need a burst proof box and need to be declared and labeled as a Class 9 hazard UN3268 Hazardous Material.

If you purchased new and not someone with 20 open sitting on their floor, that will work.

Just make sure you have it noted as such on the shipping info.

I did, it's coming from a BMW dealer in a package by itself. I was told it had to be shipped ground so I believe it was shipped correctly.
