Hi!
I read somewhere that there are cars that come out of factory with some extras that they later choose to enable, if you pay for them. Is that the case of F34s ? |

Are you sure he wasn't talking about the hidden rocket launcher and ejector seat?
I do think he may be talking about the various Utube videos on hidden features of BMWs. I was looking for a how to video at some point recently and found a video (or videos) on hidden secrets. I can't remember what they were, but of course they are not hidden secrets, but things that are not common knowledge. Some such as the rear fog light, of course, as you pointed out require coding. |

And there's the hidden service menu, but that doesn't cost anything to use either.

I wonder if there might be confusion among brands. My wife’s Audi has several (expensive) options that can be activated after the build/sale. I’m not aware of any on my (ancient) 2018 BMW.

Some BMW's have options on the car that we're built into the car even if the owner didn't spec them. To use these options owners are required to pay for them via a one time purchase or subscription.
https://www.autocar.co.uk/opinion/ne...-mad-it-sounds I had a one series loan car that had a high beam assist button, but when you pushed it it was telling me on the idrive I needed to purchase it. I think it's only for cars with idrive 7, which the F34 didn't get. |
