F30/F32 N55 VRSF Charge Pipe Issue
Just a heads up to others that bought the VRSF charge pipe for the F30 3.0L N55 cars. I installed mine this past weekend and had issues getting the vacuum port to connect. I had the top section of the pipe all the way in and then went to clip the vacuum port on and noticed it was way too small for the o-ring to fit in.
I pulled the tube back out and measured the machined bung that was welded to the pipe. It's clearly much smaller than the OEM pipe and there was no way the OEM fitting was going to fit into it. OEM: VRSF: (caliper was touching the inside groove, the fitting wasn't completely straight either) Side by side, you can see the VRSF's hole is smaller. There weren't any instructions or notes in the box so I assume it's a manufacturing error. I ended up machining the hole out so the OEM vacuum fitting would fit correctly. Once the hole was enlarged it clipped right into place. Overall the pipe fit into the car nicely and I'm happy with the end result although I was a bit disappointed with this issue since I had to pull the pipe out and it ended up getting scratched in the process. For those installing this CP, make sure that vacuum line fits before twisting and turning the pipe all the way to the TB! Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have a manual trans car, you may not have this vacuum line? If that is the case, there weren't any plugs included with this kit so you'd have to come up with your own way to cap that off.

I would send it back to them and hopefully they can fix that small hiccup. From a machinist and drafter standpoint it would appear that they measured the inside diameter of the oem bung and when they made the chargepipe they made the outside diameter of their Bing the same size as the inside on the oem. However I'm sure they will fix it for you.

Keep in mind the pipe does not fit Auto xDrive either...I learned this the hard way over the weekend. They are going back to the drawing board on the xDrive CPs

Thanks for the heads up. This is annoying...I literally just dropped my car off this morning at a shop to get this chargepipe and a downpipe installed. I just alerted the shop about this potential issue.

Good call, it was just something for people to be aware of before installing it. It might not be an issue for others, but it doesn't hurt to check it before putting it all the way in.

I'll compare these against the OEM units we have in stock later today and determine if this was an isolated incident or not. If it wasn't we can machine these locally or provide a replacement o-ring to correct the issue for now

Did a bit of checking and it looks like the OEM fitting is a bit wider on the first step of the lip and then gets down to about 14.5 mm where the o-ring sits which is the same as our fitting. I've just confirmed fitment of that fitting on our X5, 335i and M4 which all share the same part number on the fitting and everything is A-OK.

There was pretty much no way the o-ring on my pipe was going to fit. I couldn't even force it in after I applied some o-ring oil.

They slipped right in. The stock opening is a little larger than the actual area the o-ring sits in. If you re-measure your OEM chargepipe a quarter of an inch down where the o-ring sits you'll see that's it's 14.5MM

Maybe an isolated issue--I bought my VRSF three months ago and it was fine.

Had mine installed this morning. About 45 minutes into the installation the mechanic came in and told me the vacuum line would not go into the fitting. I explained the issue noted here and explained what the OP did to get the line to fit. He returned 10 minutes later and said that it appeared that there was some over spray that had gotten inside the fitting. Sanding out the over spray allowed the fitting to snugly snap into place.
