Mine updated to 37 with UPD5021. You are better then me. So I guess it varies depending on the model you have.

The updates are limited by the Head Unit firmware. Once NBT has latest firmware, then it can update all the way to .38.

Normally this is accomplished though Dealer Programming with ISTA/P. Short of that, you would need latest 52.1 PSdZData Full, and you would have to flash NBT with E-Sys.

I got the procedures in other post of yours. But it reades FA and SVT before creating the TAL.

Does I have to concern with anything? My car not being able to be NBT upgradeble for example? Alll 320i with Nav has wifi? Mine does not show.

When flashing, you should always be concerned that you might Brick the ECU.

I mean all cars with a NBT can be brought to the latest firmware?

And do I have wifi? Mine is a 320i / 2013 may biult.

Any ECU can be flashed to the latest firmware for that ECU.

If you have NBT, you should have WiFi, but somehow BMW disabled it with 51.x release, but it appears to be working with 52.x firmware and the latest Bluetooth update.

Guys, my new 435i is due to arrive soon with US Specs and I would like to learn how to safely code the car to enable a number of features that are disabled from factory. Among them:

- Full LED High Beam Assist functionality
- Video in Motion
- Remove safety disclaimers
- Mirrors close by pressing doorknob (I have comfort access)
- Mirrors open automatically when closed with comfort access
- Rear view camera while driving

I live in Puerto Rico and I don't know anyone who codes here. My BMW mechanic is willing to learn and help me though. So my questions are:

1. What is the software required and where do I get it?
2. What hardware is required to access the system?
3. What are the best practices I need to implement to backup and safeguard the original programming to avoid bricking the car?
4. Is there a database of the commands I require for the functions mentioned above?

I assume several of the answers I required are buried in the 250+ pages of this thread and I apologize in advance for not reading through them all before posting. Thanks.
