i have invested in my car and have 5 year RAC warranty for that car with claim limit, changing cars is not that simple, then there is my wife who will beat the crap out of me starting by saying: "new bloody car AGAIN!!"
So i am stuck with what i got and tbh i cant complain. I am going to look at the costs of the PPK and its other associated costs that i would have to live with. Its a shame that you don't get double exhaust mod with PPK |

I am the same, I have a 320d, remapped. for me to go to a 330d or above I would of had to take 5-6 more out on finance. No way. Having said that, most of the people who comment 'just get another car' are old and arrogant. More to the point they probably drive like a Grandad anyway and dont use the car to its full potential but me being in a 320d remapped will! |

Not everyone can afford the best bmw's there is , be happy with what you got and take a second to sit back and think of what you do own rather then what you could own , be proud of what is yours at present because you never know how long your future is going to be,

Spending near £1000 on a remap, that won't beneficially affect your cars value, it could be regarded as poor economics compared to keeping it in your pocket and putting it towards your next car! Sound advice in my book, and not arrogance! You're assuming an instant timescale. My first BMW was a 320d SE, the best I could afford at the time and treated myself to this for my 30th birthday! I kept this un-modified and for a year after paying off the finance. This 'free' motoring period let me jump to a 330d, as suggested above. Maybe I'm ancient at 37! However, I'd have been well chuffed if I were able to drive around in a remapped 200hp plus 320d MSport in my 20's!

i am back because this MPPSK mod is now starting to get to me.
I am a little confused as to what exactly gets changed? I understand the intercooler and ecu? I thought exhaust stays as stock but then i red some places that people bring back as spares their stock exhausts after MPPSK. Can someone clear this up?

Had mines done, where abouts in the country are you? Could give you a demo if near south west?
Don't think it's worth 1200, but around 800 is ok if warranty is a concern, otherwise a £500 custom remap will get you more |

I personally think it's way too much and after spending all ££££ then you will have to ring Insurance and when you tell them they will want some of your money for sure .
Don't get me wrong I do like the sound of it and would like to hear if anyone does get it done . |

If your car is out of warranty just get a stage 1 remap. Perfectly safe for the car!

i have 5 year platinum (all electrics and mechanical) RAC warranty so remap is not an option, gonna have to be BMW.
2 dealers that are closest to me are all posh areas so yeah i realise elsewhere i might get it cheaper, i wont pay over 1k. I was thinking even getting it done in Scotland or Wales (presumably it will be significantly cheaper) with hotel booking for night and then enjoy nice roads So maybe hotel = £70, 2 tanks of fuel = £130

Mines is an auto, and I would say the numbers they quote are pretty much spot on, so it's not a night and day remap, but it is faster. I don't feel the auto has adjusted to make the most of the power, feels much quicker using the paddles and controlling the gears/rev. Hence if you got a manual, I think you will make more of the extra power. For me it feels smoother in everyday driving, and continues the power further up the rev range when you want to make progress, where as before the power use to drop off after the mid range. |

i have a 320d and i have my ista where i can retrofit and update the "remap" of the ecu. i was told that you just need to change the intercooler and do the bmw "remap". just want to ask for those who got the MPPK are the stock intercoolers from the stock 320d has a huge difference in the MPPK intercoolers that the dealers are changing?
coz' looking at the part number in realoem it seems that the MPPK intercoolers are just the stock intercoolers of the 2.5 and 3.0d engines. |

Have you thought about getting a tuning box such as Bluespark? Their Pro + Boost box is around £285, easy to fit yourself and is removable in case of warranty work.
They’re offering a 28 day money back guarantee at the moment, so if you’re not a fan, you can send it back for a full refund. |

The stock intercooler will probably be fine for normal road use in cool climates, but if you drive it hard, or live somewhere hot, like you appear to, then it is advisable to fit the larger intercooler. And yes the 320d MPPK intercooler is the standard 330d intercooler, just as the 330d MPPK intercooler is the 335d standard intercooler. Last edited by teaston; 01-13-2019 at 04:24 AM.. |

I was just told that if i want i will just tick that box no need to change the ecu so i was thinking its just like a remap sort of (like the other tuning companies are doing it and not changing the intercooler) |
