I use Sonax NS and while I find it WAY better than Klasse SG (easier to WIWO and lasts longer) I'm still ordering CQ in the next few weeks.

Waste of money, I wash my car once a week and I dry it with any of the "wax & dry" products and it does the same exact thing no effort at all, I go to a lot of car meetings and when my car is parked right next to anybody using any of those expensive coating products my paint looks exactly the same...

And the difference is theirs looks exactly the same without having to apply anything to it again. If all you are interested in is looks a good carnauba wax will look better than any sealant or coating. The slickness you get from a wash and wax is nothing like a coated car.

People do coatings for ease of maintenance and protection.

I was quoted $1200 for this shit by a local detailer, plus another $800 for paint correction!! When I questioned his outlandish pricing he got offended and debated why his shop the the best. Blah blah. I spent $400 at chemical guys for a torq polisher and a crap load of products. I plan on doing a clay bar, polish and jet seal on the car myself and it will look great.

Damn right it will! And will be better because you did it yourself.

Did you ask for prices before or after you purchased the detail supplies?

I got the quote before I purchased my stuff. Regardless this shop caters to rich guys that don't wanna get their fingers dirty. They post pics on their fb page of the cars they've done and most are exotics and luxury brands. As far as I'm concerned they're full of shit. $2-3K for paint protection is a waste of $$ and I can buy a lot of mods and upgrades for that much cake. The funny thing is myself and some of the local BMW club members are parking our cars at their booth next month at a car show lol!!
