Problem... it was a 320d MSport auto with most, if not all, of the options on board... gulp! ...it was listed at £54k. Don't see a queue round the block to buy one of those. Be back at the dealer Wednesday for a service, must engage the salesman in some banter.

If this 320d was listed at 54k, makes you wonder what the figures would have been had it been a M340i.
£65k maybe?

"but you are getting a lot of car for your money sir"

Follow on from post #40... Back to the dealer for a service. Had time to browse again. Two new 320d, one at £39k and the other at £54k (MSport+, xDrive, Auto and most of the options including £7.5k for the Performance Pack...lots of carbon fibre). Only salesman around was preoccupied with another customer who seemed very keen on buying a new 3 and the £39k model was sold since Monday, so there is a market. In contrast almost every other car in the showroom and parking lot was prominently marked with "Free Shadow Edition Pack" or "Complimentary Service Pack" or similar. So tough times I think.
Only things I now don't love about the new design is the area around the gear lever is now very busy with various switches grouped close together and all looking similar. Could be confusing when driving. Also despite the increase in overall size I was not conscious of any more space in the driving seat area vs the F30. Niggles, I would have one in a heartbeat, but, other than a lottery win, at the current new prices I will wait for a pre-owned LCI.

Just seen my first one on the road, black with black grille, looked well specced from the outside. Very very nice and now I've seen it close up in the flesh and on the road it's definitely growing on me. Picture's don't do it any favours at all.

Big discounts around the corner??

BMW issues profit warning...

https://www.irishtimes.com/business/...ning-1.3832406

BMW has warned its earnings will fall "well below" last year's level, and has embarked on a €22bn efficiency drive to offset the impact of trade conflicts and unprecedented spending on electric cars.

Yes makes sense. I'm getting loads of emails currently regarding VIP events etc, etc. They seem to be on a big sales push. Might be a good deal around the corner...

That's seriously overpriced. People would be mad to pay anything like that for a 320 !!

With the BMW FS contribution that comes in at £32509, not including the Technology Pack. So £34309 with it. Coast2Coast quote £33620 inclusive of the Technology Pack. Although it's not made clear what BMW FS would contribute in that case. If BMW FS maintained their contribution then the C2C offer would come in at £30789 (plus interest) with BMW finance at 4.9%.

There doesn't appear to be ACC option?

I wonder if that's because they still haven't fixed it on the F3x series yet?

I have a brochure and it's shown as part of the Driving Assistant Professional pack at £1250 for the pack. Optional on the 330i MSport and 320d MSport.
However the brochure does not yet include the 320i so no idea about that model.

Curiously even the config for the 330i does not show that pack as available. So clearly the brochure and the configurator do not presently match up.

When I bought my LCI 320i M-Sport in 2015, I spec'ed it up to £35,500 with sports auto, M-sport plus pack, folding rear seats, adaptive suspension, heated seats, full black panel display, folding mirrors and folding rear headrests. Less almost 24% discount, cost £27,000 new. (£7k from my last car plus £20k cash)

So it depends on the standard spec of this car. If it already has a lot of the extras as standard then maybe it's not so badly priced. Maybe when it's been out a few years and has some decent discount it may be in the ball park.....and under the £40k tax threshold.

I've been racking my brains trying to think what those new 3er and x5 air vents with the display perched on top remind me of.

It's just come to me....

Grille looks better with chrome surround. The contrast doesn't make it look so big.

Saw my first one on the road today. Have to say it looks much better in the flesh than pics!
I notice they have moved away from the Kriton style wheels of the later F30, back to a more spidery 442 style👍
