Tips on cleaning oil soaked under tray/ bellypan

So I stupidly did not check that the oil drain plug had an o-ring on it and the car subsequently lost a half quart of oil after my home oil change causing the under tray which has some kind of fuzz on it, to be soaked in oil. I sprayed if off with some light soap and touching it today, it is still pretty oily.

Does anyone have any tips on removing the oil without damaging the fuzz off the tray? My search didn't reveal much.

Thanks,
Neil

Degreaser or Dawn dish soap and scrub.

Why do you care about the integrity of the "fuzz"

Thanks. I used some Dawn and a dish rag. Will see what that gives after it dries off. I don’t necessarily care about the fuzz, but don’t want to draw attention to the engine area if/when I sell the car.

engine degreaser is made specifically for this use. I'd spray and let it soak, then power wash off.
