AC Schnitzer Springs - Forum discount

Most will have read my findings on these springs by now on the other post. It's fair to say that I am completely in love with them and how they have transformed the car. My dealer's trying the car on Monday so I'll add to the report - one of the sales guys is a serial sDriver and hates the xDrive - will this change his opinion? We'll see.

Anyhow, I know that there are quite a few people who have been following this with interest with a view to purchase. So I've been talking in the background with Lorcan from AC Schnitzer to see if he could do anything for us.

I'm delighted to announce that he has kindly offered a 10% discount on F30/31 springs to all forum members. All they have to do is enter the discount code F30POST at checkout to receive the discount. This can't be used in conjunction with any other offer or 0% finance and is only applicable to the springs.

If you'd like to find out more, here's the link -

http://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/suspe...rom-4387-p.asp

People have asked about the cost of fitting the springs so I hope this reply from him will help -

'Regarding the fitting time for the springs some are asking about on the forum the total allowed time is 45AW (4 hours) to include a recommended 4 wheel alignment. If any of the forum members wanted to come to us instead of their BMW dealer we would usually charge 3 hours at £69 per hour plus £120 for the alignment, total £332 inc VAT. BMW dealers, of course, are liable to charge a higher rate per hour.'

I have got a couple of F30Post members that will also be trying my car over the next couple of weeks so if you'd rather wait for more than one opinion (we are all different after all), I am sure they will post up their findings.

That's great news.

Ok I have not got my car yet, however it is definitely good to know that IF the xdrive is not to my liking I have an alternative.

I must have missed a post or two, I had thought these more expensive - unless the price quoted is for one spring

In the scheme of things if they give the improvements you said, it's small change really.

I did ask this question yesterday funnily enough. According to the part numbers, they are the same springs (certainly for the coupe - not sure at all about the convertible). If you want to find out more, give them a call - sure they'll be happy to chat it over.

i will do thanks, although just had a call from the dealer that the car is delayed until 3rd week in August. Seems that the bmw individual program is very popular at the moment.

Guy, verily thou art a star.
I am now jealous that an xDrive will drive and look as good as my sDrive.

Hi folks,

I didn't realise I had an account here, I don't get to spend much time on forums but I'll try to pop in occasionally (although I'd better not mention my employer too much or I'll get in trouble).

Thanks to GT for taking the plunge here. We have of course sold these springs before but not everyone takes the time to post their thoughts. If there's anything else I can help with just give me a call, 01485 542000.

Cheers

Lorcan

Ok, we warrant the springs and related components and the rest of the car remains covered under the BMW warranty as usual. If your dealer says anything else, I have a letter from BMW GB that will explain it to him/her!

Great, thanks guys!

Does anyone know if having the springs fitted by ACS would invalidate suspension warrenty??....

You will be seeing me before the end of 2014. I am so happy this has come to light, the F30 335d has been saved!

Our current demo vehicle is a M135i, fully converted which we brand the "ACS1 Sport". It has our sports suspension (springs and dampers) package on it and is a little hooligan. It's in this month's EVO magazine. We're probably going to go for a 4 series next, the aerodynamic parts are about 4 weeks away.
