2-3 is normal. 5 seems a little off. Take it to the dealer.

On a similar note... I think my odometer is not correct. I just got the car recently and haven't driven it a lot, and already have 1100 miles on it!

At what speeds? I had this issue with my e9x's where they were off by 5 MPH at 85 MPH ( 3 MPH off at 60), but our F3x's seem to be more in the line of 2 MPH off at 60 and 3 MPH off at 85.

All US BMWs come with a "speed correction" of 3 MPH (70 indicated = 67 actual). It can be disabled via coding. There is also a digital speed readout (v=mph) for the display between the speedo and tach that can be enabled by coding as well.
