'14 328d SCR Active Tank Faulty Level Sensor

First, I apologize if this thread already exists; please link it.

Dealer is recommending a tank replacement to the tune of $2,266. Can I buy just the sensor and DIY?

I do not think so. The flange with the sensor is glued/melded to the tank. You can get the tank on Ebay for way less. What error do you get? Do you have ISTA? Can you run the SCR service function?

I just had this same fault earlier this year. Chuck my posts

I ended getting a used tank as the sensor is hardwired into the tank as mentioned above.
