Track Package without those Fugly 398 Wheels?

Is this not possible to order? I have Adaptive Suspension and Variable Steering (through DHP) on my 2013, and only want these two items on my 2016 lease. Don't care for the Style 398 wheels nor M brakes.

In the U.S. You have to order track handling to get the vss. Also you can upgrade to larger wheels and forgo the 398's

I don't want those wheels due to pot holes, not to mention, I'm already paying $1,800 for some items included in THP I don't even want, don't want to drop another few hundred on wheels I don't care for.

Can I order Adaptive Suspension without THP?

Yes. You can get it with the 442 wheels, but you still get the brakes.

The only way I saw to get the adaptive suspension without THP is to order M-sport package, that's like $2700.

If you get the THP you also get the VSS and the brakes. Not aware of any way to get adaptive without M-sport or THP. Not aware of any way to split up the THP.

And I agree the THP "orbit gray" wheels are fugly, but be aware the sport brakes are dusty as heck and that's why the available wheels on THP are darkish. Also agree that 19" wheels are asking for issues.

I totally forgot I already planned on getting M Sport Package, so will have the option of getting Adaptive Suspension.

What is the jury on the 2016/LCI and steering versus a pre-LCI with VSS? Mainly concerned that with F30 steering under so much scrutiny, that going from having VSS on a pre-LCI F30 to having no VSS on an LCI F30 will be a "downgrade" in road connectivity.

They are! Just not of value to me, and likely going to cause a headache being that I live in a city.

Based on what I've read in reviews, VSS on the LCI F30 is better than the VSS on the pre-LCI F30.

Regarding if it's a downgrade going from VSS pre-LCI to non-VSS LCI F30, I suggest you go drive a non-VSS LCI F30 and make your own decision... you're not going to get much help on the forum because this is very subjective.

Good thought, already going to test drive Saturday. Dealer has no M sport with adaptive suspension or RWD in stock, so I guess I can only really test for the lack of VSS versus what I have now and hope the adaptive suspension hasn't changed much from Pre-LCI to LCI.

I think you should be able to distinguish the steering feel even without the Adaptive Suspension... although the suspension for the LCI has been tweaked (again, reviews have said it's overall better than pre-LCI) so it won't be a straight apples to apples comparison. Maybe try another dealer or ask around when they're expected to receive one in the right spec?

Thanks for your insight. I have to get my order in before May and the dealer noted they wouldn't be having other inventory coming in with the Track Handling Package (Which is the only way to get VSS) before that time.

Should probably shop around anyways.

Apparently the late 2015s pre LCI had the same suspension tuning as the LCI

Good to know. I wonder if the dealer has any 2015's on the lot.
