From bad to worse

Check engine light comes on says MAS issue. So decided to clean it first before replacing. Go to unscrew and the screws are loose. I'm hoping this is the issue but then another issue happens. The hose running across radiator as I move it the rubber has melted? Has anyone had this problem? What hose is this anyway uggh

That's a radiator hose. Would be a good idea to replace it.

Actually it wasn't radiator it's the hood cable. So I'll be replacing that this weekend

Oh sorry I saw a Youtube video recently and someone pointed that out as a radiator hose. Didn't mean to mislead but glad you got it figured out.

Yeah I thought it was to until we grabbed it and moved and we could see it. Didn't remember it has 2 latches to clap onto
