Me either really, but i think its just enough to get by when you are tuning for WOT, since you can safely assume CP=MAP boost at 100% throttle opening. But i do feel like it leaves a gap in the data that would be very useful to have.

Especially at WOT you would have to know how much throttle angle is needed in case of over boosting.

A tune done properly can make do without the neural model changes, and run 3.5TMAP in charge pipe and regular 2.5 in mani just fine. You just need to know how the airflow model in the dme works. Yes the issue in OP is due to not logging the RAM parameters for boost target, i believe BM3 now has this. This is why is important to pick a tuner that has done not just a variety of cars on and off dyno, but also those that are intimately familiar with BMW technical functions, and the inner workings of the bosch MED17 + BMW changes on the MEVD17.

For that type of setup, and the desire to run FlexFuel, I'd go with ECUTek. I don't know when BM3 is going to release CustomROM for the M2
