Despecing a 440i withM Performance Pack....
I'm getting a 2018 440i which comes with the M Performance Pack and could do with some advice on how to remove some items (I know some people will say 'keep as is' but I prefer it a bit more low key):
1 - rear carbon spoiler on boot 2 - Black 'Performance' side wrapping above sills 3 - Side sill attachments 4 - Carbon Exhuast tips 5 - Carbon Lower Front Apron on spoiler Also any thoughts on if you would keep the parts for vehicle resale or just sell now ? All that is an easy remove. You just need the replacement parts.
The carbon bits will fetch good money too on here and the ebay. The only issue I see is the rear spoiler, it might need some gentle persuasion. I'll take the side sill attachements if you want to move them on. :-)

If they are OEM/Dealer installed I imagine both the spoiler and front splitter were glued (betalink) on, which would probably require panel replacements. It would be very difficult to get the glue residue off.

Does depend if they were installed by the dealer.... as above the front splitter and boot spoiler are stuck down and will leave a right mess.
The side sticker and sills are easy to remove and the holes left for the sill will not be noticeable. The exhaust tips just pull off... but are you sure its just the tips and not the M performance exhaust? |

If that's what you have, you'll need some kind of exhaust tips; in other to get it port installed when I bought my car, I had to buy either CF or chrome exhaust tips as well. The ends of the pipes are unfinished and look awful if they aren't covered. |

As much as I would love to see the carbon front splitter goes on the "for sale" section for my own benefit.
I have a feeling that you'll end up having a tough time removing the front lip and the boot lip whilst preserving the part underneath in its stock form, factory upgrades are fixed on with Betalink. I have never used it myself, but from other places i have read- this is pretty hardcore stuff. But have heard it is possible to heat it up to then remove. Probably takes a while seeing as you don't want to burn the paint. If you do decide to remove it! I would be interested in the front lip! (or maybe we should just do a car swap!) |

Yeah this is what my bumper looked like after I had to get my front lip removed (I couldn't pry it off myself) because it cracked in half. Good thing I had another one waiting to go on.
