Been there and done that.

Best results we found were 2 hourly rotation of Calpol (paracetamol based) and Calprofen (ibuprofen based).

And a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones!

I have been going through a period of 'sharting'. I blame it on my new Guiness addiction, the missus says if it happens anymore she is just going to chuck my pants straight in the bin
