320d efficient dynamics

Hi guys,

I'm now on my 3rd 320d ED and this is the only car it's happened to. On my previous cars when I got in and turned the engine on it automatically defaulted to eco pro with the bonus miles screen being the default display in the instroment cluster, however, with this new car I start the engine and it starts in eco pro mode, but the instrument cluster defaults to range and not bonus miles. Is there a way to change this? Non of the previous cars were coded if that helps.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,
I see the problem, to be helpful just tell me if you have or not the same motor like this topic, because turbo may be the source and induct in error instrument cluster

Your link is referencing M47TU . However if he has F30 this should be N47. Hence your link is out of topic.

Exclamation

Off topic; but may be of importance...
I recently insisted my BMW dealership check for EGR Cooler failure whilst my car was in for service after coolant went low twice with no warning and with no apparent escape! Coolant pressure test was ok; technician diagnosed egr Cooler failure & the dealership are raising a claim case with BMW even though my build doesn't currently appear on the UK BMW EGR Cooler recall technical campaign!
More info here: https://www.bmw.co.uk/landingpages/b...e-recalls#gref
And here: https://www.bmwblog.com/2018/10/23/b...lion-vehicles/
My build is a 2014 F31 320D N47 efficientDynamics auto
My advice; if you're coolant goes low for no apparent reason; take it to a dealership & demand a test regardless of whether your build is on a recall list or not, & fight your corner before anything catastrophic & costly occurs!
