CIC Wireless Carplay Adapter

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Selling CIC Wireless Carplay Adapter

Never installed, all new in the box. I ordered recently from www.wakaa.us and was told that my CIC-HIGH Professional unit was CIC unit but really is NBT-hybrid, so this adapter is not compatible. I would have to pay for shipping back to China to get refund, rather just sell to someone here on the forums instead.

Below is link to the item I ordered for full details on website below:

https://wakaa.us/product/wireless-ap...i-for-bmw-cic/

Willing to ship in US

I have included the website for the exact product in the description, but check out this thread about the user experiences:

The LVDS cable that connects to the back of the screen and the head unit is a 4-pin connection with CIC systems. NBT systems have a 6-pin connection for that cable.

The link in the original post doesn't work anymore. The Bimmerpost link of feedback is for the NBT version.

My car is a 2014 and has the small screen but I believe it has the NBT
"CIC-HIGH" head unit. Will this work in my car?

Thanks for the heads up about the link, I updated it now. The only way to be certain is to see what cable is on the back of your head-unit. The CIC connection has a 4-pin adapter, the NBT has a 6-pin adapter. There are two extra wires on the adapter for power that the CIC 4-pin adapter does not have.

The feedback for the system would be the same regardless of the CIC or NBT MMI unit, the connection of the adapters is the only difference, the same software is ran on both CIC and NBT options.
