NOTE: i don't have the original box, but have the all the wires etc, currently used as a backup for my new 8 Bay NAS, seems like overkill. Hence why i am looking to sell it.

I had the 2 bay version of this in use until maybe early last year - when i upgraded to the rackmounted version (RS1619) so can vouch it will be more than able to run Plex (at HD) and 6 IP camera's without much hassle.

Thanks, i can include the 3x 2TB WD Green drives as well. They are used but have passed the extended S.M.A.R.T test and secure erase

Best guess would be £120-£150 without HDDs and say £10-£15 each for the HDDs as they are used, but i have no idea.

I am almost certain you should be able to use an external USB HDD, just leave it plugged in.

Network Attached Storage, basically a pool of storage that has redundancy (i.e. 1/2 disk failure), that lives on your network and all devices can read / write from / to it.
