Low Coolant Message

After some advise if possible.

I have had a low coolant message on my Idrive for around a month now Coolant level is at Max and i have never lost any coolant. Cant seem to get rid of the message,

Can anyone shed some light btw i have a 330D

Have rang BMW and they seem to think i will need a new tank because you can't change the sensor.

Check the cable and connector to the sensor. Might be that some small rodent had your cabling for lunch.
