*** bootmod3 - Aggression for Sport and Sport+ - New map configuration options ***

Hey guys, this update is going out today to both iOS and Android apps and will be live very shortly on bootmod3.net.

It allows you to independently configure aggression for sport and sport+ modes with their independent duration settings. In addition as before you can go back to stock, choose OTS configuration settings using the dropdown or turn burble off entirely.

We've also added more resolution to the sliders so you can now do increments of 0.1 for them and further resolution to other existing parameters in the screen.

A few more additions to this screen are on the way as well but we're pushing this one out for now

Do the "AGG" maps have the settings turned all the way up already?

In summary:

Standard OTS = ots burble settings
AGG OTS = ots burble settings + additional settings for gunshot type burbles

Turning up AGG through map config will make it even more aggressive than the configuring the standard OTS map.

i have a m235i, n55 ewg, and in the past, the sliders affected my "comfort" setting. let's put all that aside and move on.

today, you have sliders for sport and sport+
could you clarify the relationship between the car mode and the burble mode?

car comfort mode : burble "sport" mode
car sport mode: burble "SPORT+"
car sport + mode: burble "SPORT+"

then there are modes accessible with the traction button:
car traction mode (one press): burble "sport"
car dsc off mode (long hold of button): burble "sport"

Hey, responded to it on f80post but here it is once more:

=====
In a nutshell, N55 has no sport+ mode, it has two comfort/sport modes, traction setting doesn't change burble characteristics.

i brought it over from f80 per your request.

i still don't understand your response. your sliders allow for 2 distinct modes of operation for burbles. i am wanting to understand how each of these affect the built in driving modes in the car.

I think what they are saying is that Sport and Sport+ are the same except for the fact that Sport+ disables traction control.

Thanks for the update, but I have the same question: What is the mapping between all the drive modes (eco, comfort, sport, sport+, sport with stick shift) and the two burble settings (sport and sport+)?

I keep mine simple and quick (duration), when I had my X4 M40i (OEM were selected)
Downpipes add the best sound, of course the bad boys from CTS Turbo full 4" ;-)

I wonder if PTF are working on updates with the OTS maps for the n55, currently at version 6.1.

Mostly the 3rd and 6th gear limiter on the 8HP. Was curious if they were working on that or is that it for the N55 and OTS maps.

So I've been playing around with this and I can't detect a difference between comfort, sport or sport+. Here are my settings. With the OTS burble I can definitely tell a difference between comfort and sport. Running ROM version MEVD172G

As far as I can tell, the "Sport" BM3 setting seems to correspond to Comfort mode and the "Sport +" BM3 setting corresponds to Sport/Sport+ drive mode in the car. I'd recommend - just for testing - setting the Sport duration to 1 second and the Sport+ duration to 5 seconds (something much longer) and test that way. You'll probably more easily notice the difference.
