So is £15 for a month of Internet worth it as a try out?

Do you not get the option to buy individual options now?

For example I can now buy 1 month, 6 months or 1 year Internet.

Or Online Entertainment.

Previously these were only available when ordering car.

Given how painfully slow and crap the existing connected drive services are, I'd say that's an emphatic NO!

What does online entertainment give you ?

At moment use either USB stick, 1TB rugged hard drive, or phone with some iTunes library on SS card.

Online access to napster or spotify,(which one seems to vary with the car model) just search for the song or album and download, the car then holds the songs you've downloaded.

Turns your car into a mobile juke box.

You can do something similar I think with an iphone that is linked to a music streaming service but I find having it all integrated within the car very useful and easy to use.

BMW Connected Drive Store

Hi,

I have a BMW 320D M Sport on order and have taken the Online Entertainment option for £325.00 for the first year. What music subscription is available and what are the renewal options for month, 6 month and annual cost please?

Being a man I decided to sign up the Internet access for the month. Did this two days ago and still no access in the Connecteddrive option, phoned today as I'd received the invoice. Referred my issue to Germany and awaiting a call back.

In terms of online entertainment it's telling me I can sign up for the year for £260 and £160 for any subsequent years. So seems cheaper than if I had bought when I got the car.

Was £15, top of my head can't remeber what the 6 month and full year costs were. You don't have the option to pay in one or six month chunks with the one line though.
If you have already paid the £325 I would be asking fo a refund. Father in law just about to get his new Tigan to find out they have changed the engine to a more fuel efficient, low emission , more powerful version. It's on a boat over so they have offered to order him another on with the new engine. He has a thing for falling out with dealers on brand new cars but I see his point as they will have know about the new engine when he speced the car less than new months ago. Likely moved from Euro 5 to 6.

Wonder if they'll put map updates on the store?

Which Music provider can you choose from the Online Entertainment? Rara? Napster? Spotify?

Would imagine that would be a dealer upgrade only.

Maps should be possible though given it'll be over-the-air on the LCI

It says this

Access to more than 20 million songs by flat-rate account with a BMW music partner (currently Napster)
Music downloads are possible in the vehicle onto the built-in hard disc
Music account is transferrable to other devices
Works in six EU countries with no additional costs

Possibly, but when I use the wheel controllers to flick through tracks it gives the impression your playing the tracks over Bluetooth so hoping it just needs switching on, like the internet, rather than a proper code.
