I installed this update. Now with Spotify you are allowed to control via your phone and the car. This makes searching an artist easier without having to unplug.

I tried to update my 2012 BMW F30, which has a navigation business installed - It doesn't have the "Software update" menu though - is it possible to get it showing somehow?

It was actually really simple to update - just a note: plug your USB stick into the center console USB port and not the one in the glove box. The update file must be in the root folder of the USB drive. It doesn't matter if you put it on your USB stick from a Mac or PC. It works from both.

Just drag them onto the icon of the USB stick, it will place them in the root.

Hey, I Cant find the updating file in bmw/softwareupdate. Can you please some how send it over to me or guide me to find it.

I have a F34 2018 BMW 320i GT with Navigation Professional (NBT Evo). I crashes and restarted a few times a day and it’s super annoying. I suspect it’s all a software issue because it just started out of the blue. My soft suspicion is that it’s related to CarPlay or the iPhones.

I did USB software updates a few times a long time ago through bmw.com/update just like it says in the I drive menu.

Now this BMW website is down. Both German and U.S. one.

Any recommendations other than going to the dealer …?

Edit: my I drive menu says the software version is 006.006.006 and according to a PDF I found, it is not (!) the latest one.
