F36 Alternative Kidney Grill?
Hi All, new to this forum, moved from the babybmw forum to this one now.
Has anyone thought of adding a different style of kidney grill other than the dual slat black or single slat black etc available for the 4 series. I’ve seen the new G30 LCI grills on an M5 and think that style would suit the 4. Pics attached of the G30 (slanted) grill |

I’ve seen a similar option that looks similar to the new shape 3series grill which would close the gaps the usual slats would have.
Also your photo with the mesh, I’ve seen it being DIY’d on another post here behind the slats and bars to protect the radiator. |

There are aftermarket mesh kits to place behind the slats, while later F30 models have them as standard. BMW had to add them due to an abnormally high incidence of radiators and AC coils being damaged by small rocks. I added my mesh after noticing that anything smaller than a golf ball had an unimpeded path to the radiator and coils.
