Engine room size exactly same ... no interference .. Only thing why M4 has loger hood than F30/F32 is that front bumper is expanded 30~40mm more than F30/F32 ...

[Quick update]
When you try installing alloy strut brace, you couldn't find any tightened nut assembled with the strut through the edge hole .. (Only M4 has this blind rivet nut) I found yesterday what I need to add for tightening. You need to order below screw and rivet nut Fillister head screw M10 (alloy SB - edge) 34Nm 2EA : 07147162464 Blind rivet nut, flat headed 2EA : 51718065070 Last edited by Steve_Jr; 03-12-2016 at 08:00 PM.. |

Great write up and photos. How much disassembly of engine bulkhead plastic trims and fittings was required to install stage 2 alloy brace ? Thanks, BP

If you want to tighten 3,4 into body, you need to drill your body what you wouldn't do that. So, I used rubber bushing to body side for absorbing shock from strut .. ^^

Hi
Thanks for this tutorial, I think I'm going to give it a try too. Was the replacement of the struts support with 31302284702 absolutely necessary? I can't see where this would be a problem to use the original F30 part? This seems to be the most annoying part to manage with the necessity to remove the shocks etc. if I can skip it I'll go ahead. Thanks!!

Got it now, required to bolt the alloy strut brace on.
I need to understand if I can change these without dismounting the entire wheel etc, first time for me.

stage 1 : 212 euros stage 2 : 601 euros stage 3 : 995 euros Maybe i will make stage 1 and 2, because Engine hood sealing left and right are not available. Can you please tell us more about handling, how is it now, after installing the cfrp strut what is the difference? |
