Time to panic? On the Dutch configurator (the only live configurator for the LCI that I can find), the only xDrive model available with an MT is the 420i xDrive. Neither the 430i or 440i xDrive models are available with a manual. I sure hope that they just haven't been added yet, but I am worried it's one more step into the black.

No worries, it is being updated every day. The dealer version showed all models in xdrive when I went to configure a 440 coupe saturday.

Yes, but can you spec a manual transmission with all the xDrive models?

lol most likely. for me after a while i get tired and annoyed with all the speculation and "leaked info" just to see that when the real thing drops, it makes no difference what you thought or heard. i don't see why something like that would change at lci but if it will, it will. that part of the puzzle is already set in stone. now we wait for the official release.

Just spec'd this on internal ordering system, Snapper Rocks with Opal White M Sport Plus and digital cockpit...

did it let you spec the digital cockpit with the HUD? Canadian order guide did not allow this yet

That's promising thanks for confirming it is available in at least one configurator.

The Canadian spec sheet did show a factory level block which concerns me but it may just be temporary.

that does look like the digital cockpit on the cluster. you can see how the gauge borders are open in the middle so the screen can span the entire length.

Before I begin to all dealership staff not finding digital cock pit: Change SA3 date to 12/04/2017 (for UK) then the option will appear!

You are correct, I just thinks its a poor image that doesn't do it justice.

Yes HUD and Digital Cockpit are able to be added in with pricing, there is current a restriction on ordering brushed aluminum and all individual paiunt putting a 4-6 week lead time on, 4 LCI will NOT land in Q1 (I am told by factory update for order guide for retail customers)

In the message out from the updates it showed that all pre LCI build slots had been sold, therefore if someone had ordered at pre LCI that couldn't be matched with stock or build slot, they would of been offered an LCI at the same cost (subject to that particular dealer making that decision (instead of the slightly increased price))

I am not saying that BMW have said the if you ordered a pre LCI you suddenly will get lucky and receive an LCI as that is not the case at all, I will edit my post to be more clear!

Another observation / question: The buttons on the left under the head light switch go away when you configured with the virtual. I'm wondering now if we can keep that "cubby" storage and have the blind spot detection now. :-)

I don't configure my cars with those features because I love that spot for my sunglasses. :-p

If you have a look at the photo with Ivory white it doesn't seem there is the option for a cubby rather just a 'blank' plate

HOWEVER... if you add extended storage... with digital cockpit: Ta da!

however however however if you add digital cockpit extended storage and active security (dynamic safety) it loses the cubby!

Tell me about it! This forum is a good tool though for me anyway as when I spec customers cars there's often things that are thrown up that I wouldn't normally be aware of, not that product knowledge isn't great just that the configurator doesn't inform you that you lose these little things when you add in certain packages.

my experience in the US the config usually isnt fully accurate until just before the next new model is ready to come out....
