Discoverd that my front splitter was damaged!
I cannot believe the noise it made flapping around on the drive back from London! Had to make a quick visit to Halfords to buy some gaffer tape to hold it secure Any one know the best source for an f36 front splitter in the UK? |

Oil change, rotated tires, and installed new exhaust hangers. Pretty productive day 🙃

This showed up while I was away on vacation. In addition to new side skirts and a new front bumper. The M Sport rear should arrive today or tomorrow, too.

The plan today was shocks and struts. Shocks went well, and cleaned up the rotors and calipers while I was there.
Unfortunately it looks like I have to wrong struts so that was a failed mission. Sure wished I would have figured that out before I pulled one off and removed the spring! Oh well, it was good practice. |

Oldest kid went back to college a couple of weeks ago and left an extra car behind. So I started driving that daily instead of the touring and last week I put the F31 up on stands in the garage and went to work.
Starting Sunday, I cleaned the undercarriage and suspension, polished the axle back, and coated everything, repainted the seams and edges in the brake rotors, cleaned and sealed the plastic trims, cleaned the wheels and tires, dressed the tires, ceramic coated the wheel faces, and put a couple good coats of wheel wax in the barrels. In the process of all this, I noticed the rear brake wear sensor wire was fraying, so that's getting replaced in the next couple of days. I'll also re-coat the lug nuts and studs (black finish is worn - won't be for long, fun chemistry experiment coming up). I'll repair two very small chips in the windshield and install F34 front fender sealings. And then, I start working upwards from the bottom of the doors, time for a polish, I think. It's a good week. I need help. I really have a problem.

Yesterday I got colder spark plugs installed for my BM3 tune and I dropped off my bumpers and side skirts at paint for my M Sport conversion. I'm finally getting my new shocks and springs installed today. A lowered sport wagon is on it's way!

Bought Bimmercode and coded out auto stop/start, switched the warning chime to BMW i, and added usb video and video in motion.
Mostly just validated that my enet cable works. Yay! |

Did battle with these sons of bitches. Came out a little battered and bruised but I managed to get the job done without breaking anything.

Suspension is going in, Bilstein B8 and Eibach springs. And my new brake calipers have arrived. A little rough, but going out for rebuilding and refinishing tomorrow!

Picked up the wagon from spring/shock install and it looks no different with the Eibach’s in. I know it will take a while for it to settle in, but I was hoping for more right off the bat! Oh well!

Eibachs don't settle. If the car has been aligned and the weight of the car has been on the springs for a couple of miles, then that's it.
