Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I bought my car used with 100,000km, its 2013 BSM 335i and from then on i started my journey to build this car. Here are my current mods: Engine: JE forged pistons, Forged Carillo rods, upgraded King race bearings Turbo: Bigboost stage 3.4 turbo kit Fueling: MMP Port injection controlled with an AIC flash only controller, Fuel it's stage 3 LPFP, BMS wmi with dual CM5 nozzles Tune: I am running a custom BM3 flash tuned by JWtuned cookiesowns and a JB4 as a meth controller Other mods: Wagner Evo 2 competition FMIC, FTP chargepipe, AFE magnum cold air intake, Eisenmann Race catback Here are some pics of the engine rebuild Here are some pics of the turbo, its huge especially in comparison to the stock pwg

I don't mean to come off as aggressive, but why not just purchase an F8X and build that platform? Much more potential for power right off the bat.

Someone had a good point about just buying a F8x. Probably more practical but I was in the same boat kind of. Bought an E90 N54 335 with the specific purpose of building it. Granted my entry price point was about 20k lower than the cheapest F80 around me but I like the E9x platform period, my insurance and tax rates will be for a 335 not an M and I don't have the paranoia of being a target for cops or theft (in my head at least). Keeping the exterior simple and clean but all business where is counts. Plus idk how BMW did it but the S55 in the F8Xs sounds horrible no matter what you do.

For sure a great build, but can you share your goals with this car?
Do you plan to drag racing, do some very fast laps on different tracks or you want to see how much power can you reach from this engine? |

If you go single turbo on the F80 it will sound just like a N55.

Great question but sometimes being different is a lot of fun regardless of what you spend if the cash is disposable. Car will be a sleeper.
