BMW 435 ARMYTRIX exhaust problem. please help!
Hi everyone,
i got an Armytrix valvetronic exhaust system installed on my 2015 BMW 435i Xdrive and i'm afraid it is not working. I did NOT see any sound difference from stock! The valve closes and opens as i press the armytrix key but the sound still doesn't change. It's as quiet as it can be. I had the exhaust installed by a professional mechanic. Also, when i try to connect my phone to the Armytrix OBD2 dongle it tells me that the app is not supported. I tried over 15 times, and i can't connect. I really don't know whats going on. I've been saving for over a year to be able to buy this exhaust and now this happens? I'm very disappointed. I e-mailed Armytrix, no answer. Thank you in advance guys. |

Was the old system stock stock or the MPE?

Damn I hope you sort this out. I'm currently saving for this exhuast system on my 435! Only difference is I already have a catless dp.
You might get a better response if you move this to the N55 turbo engine/exhaust section. |

Have you talked to the mechanic that did the install? Don'
t know this system, but your description may indicate an open circuit issue. Maybe a connection is bad or not connected. |

I did speak to him and he said everything was connected very easily, especially since its only a bolt on. The strange part is that i cant find anyone with this same problem.

The only thing I'd suggest is have him recheck the connections, or take it to another shop. I doubt the product is faulty. But still a possibility. Ask him if he switched over the stock acuators and connected to the vacuum source. There's also a break in period for a catback exuast, but from the videos I've seen you should've been able to hear a night and day difference right away from stock. Let us know what you find out!

Maybe the valve itself could be defective. Have a look at that.
Also unplug the connection and make sure its clean. Then replug it back in. Maybe also do a reset in the system on the car. See if that helps.

Francopisco....
I know this was back in Jan but I just had mine installed as well on a 14 m5 and I dont see much of a difference as well. I am sure then next comment from vivid or armytrix will be to purchase the DP's but honestly hesitant at throwing anymore after being so disappointed with the current set up and money spent. Wondering if what you did maybe I am having the same issues. Thanks, |
