F31 Diesel Wagon (overland style)

Sorry to break the internet guys...

It was either 19in wheels and dodge potholes or drop down from the stock 18s to 16in bbs that clear the caliper by a smidge. Then I thought... Diesel, AWD and I have a roof tent.. let’s see how big we can go with all terrain tires and let’s take this camping.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a 700hp Evo besides this car so love the lowered / aggressive street car look. I bought this car to camp on the west coast and to take deep in the mountains. I went with Geolander AT tires, AFE cold air intake, m sport dual exhaust tips, front and rear diffuser, trunk lip, carbon mirror covers, and a kermatdi tune.

Happy with the power gain, look and ride quality. Wanted to share since this seems to be a first of its kind and Its been a blast to drive. Enjoy

Great look! Could use the mudflaps to take it further. By the way, which tire size is this and do you have any rub?

Thanks! They are 235/60R-16

No rub unless 4 people are in the car and we’re braking hard with the wheel turned. Even then it’s a light fender liner rub.

I saw this car on Instagram and talked to the owner! He gave me the guys ebay account name who got him the 1.5in lift on his car. Just got the parts in a couple days ago to do a 1in spacer lift!

Looks ace! Should look good with a 1" lift on it!

What rear spoiler is that you have?

help please!

hello friend! I've owned my f31 for about a year and half now and LOVE IT. I bought the car used with 80k miles (Air suspension and 20 inch wheels) and now it has 100k. About to pour a lot of money into it and I can very much relate to what you said about dodging potholes etc. I've been thinking about doing something like your build including a lift but I've never tried anything like it before. Do you mind sharing a parts list of what I need? Not in a rush to do anything - but I need the suspension parts/wheels etc before I remove the air suspension from the car. Thanks! - greg

This is a SICK build. Honestly slapping a RTT on top of a wagon was a brilliant idea. Its like a little sexy version of a Forrester or something.

As I understand it you don't have it lifted yet, correct? Really looking forward to seeing it once you have it jacked up a little bit. As is I have to imagine the wheels bottom out pretty hard going over rough terrain and what not?

Throw a 6 inch air suspension on that bitch and really show off :P
