Hello everyone, I currently have a 2016 435i M sport coupe that is equipped with the Hud. I was wondering if it was possible to get the M HUD. I drove my bosses M6 coupe and his HUD provides so much more data and I was wondering if there is a way to either replace or unlock that kind of display for my 435i.

Well you've got quite a lot to do on that retrofit!

There's a display module that has to be fitted into the dashboard. You could cut into yours our purchase one that already has the slot open, or cut into your own. Additionally, it has to display onto the window, which also has to be replaced with a special polarized glass.

Also, I'm sure there's plenty more that I'm missing but from what I've read, that's the beginning lol

I think their car already has a HUD, if that's what you mean by display module?


I'm no expert but I've read you need to retrofit the M Kombi in order to achieve this. not sure what else is involved, or even what's involved in making that work though. I think the Kombi need's to be re-programmed in order to scale correctly/use the right inputs? I'm not sure anyone has successfully done this.

IIRC The only thing that the M hud has over standard is a rev counter. Other items are dependent on the options your car has and are available in either
i.e.
music info
speed limit
nav info
ACC info

Doesn't the M HUD have gear indicators and a shift light too? Or am I blending some sort of made up fantasy?
