Thank you 😊

Just got back home after roughly 900km/960miles up and down mountain roads. Ended on 15l/100km-16mpg, a number I can live with considering it is with a trailer up an down several steep passes 🫢 Gave the car a small reward with new plate holders as soon as I came home to the toolbox

Some inspired driving made it dirty! But it was worth it 😎

Such a cool wagon, and being used for what it's meant to be for. The fuel economy is atrocious but not bad considering the circumstances.

Must've gotten some attention at the meet. Thanks for sharing!

The consumption is thankfully about half in everyday driving.
Some people were curious about the car and showed interest! But for most people it is just a normal 3-series like what their mom or neighbor drive 🙃

Seems like I always towing a trailer around 😌 But this weekend I decided to once again explore the Norwegian nature. And that means a trip up in the mountains and valleys 😁

I have now used the car for a little over two years as a daily. Covering 63k km/ 39k miles! And during that period the only repair/service costs have been a charge pipe, new pads and rotors and of course oil changes 🤞Hoping it will treat me just as good for the next two 😄

This is why I really enjoy having drive on all wheels! The car is behaving exceptionally well and the square 255/35-19 Nokian Hakkapeliitta’s offers a lot of grip and trust 😄

Forged internals, new HP-fuel pump and a extensive modification to the air-intake and oil/water cooling systems. They also used the ZF8HP70 instead of the standard HP45.
Don’t forget it’s actually a twin turbo too, as opposed to twin scroll turbo. Cytoplasm0671

We are dealing with something called "The Siberian cold" right now and seeing temperatures down to -30°. But the car doesn’t complain 😁

Cool 😁 I’m grateful for that. Especially since there’s a good chance you easily could find accounts with better B3 content and quality than mine 🤫

I think the appeal is the geography
I love the vast openness and beauty of it
It always makes me wish I were "home", which reminds me of Norway's driving freedom

Hey Robertki

Does "allrad" = allroad?
I didn't know that the Alpina B3 wagons came in an allroad flavour. Is it all the Alpina B3 wagons? or just some? What are the differences between allrad vs non-allrad?

I can easily see the confusion with Alpina’s naming strategy when it comes to Allrad. It’s simply their own name for xDrive Same goes for their gearbox called switchtronic instead of steptronic.

Thank you 😄

We have 173 Alpina’s in Norway, and around 2.95 million registered cars! So it’s quite rare to see them in traffic 🙃

Had the car on a lift to do some checkups. Not much to worry about 😊 Used the opportunity to remove all of the undertrays and clean out sand/salt accumulation.

Will also share my go-to whenever I miss driving rwd! My e34 535i manual ice-beater

After a second checkup I noticed that after 3years of ownership it was time for spending some money on repairs 🤫

Had a spring failure on the right rear. Parts that Alpina got me within two weeks
