Question clicking sound when locking car

Hello, I recently purchased my first ever BMW just a day ago. Yesterday was my first time driving it, and I noticed a clicking sound when I lock the car with the key fob. To better explain it, it sounds like when the car is trying to turn over, but the battery is dead. I've tried to look for an answer on it but it's hard trying to explain the sound when trying to search probable causes. I'm trying to get used to all the technology it has, it's still all very new to me. The only thing i have found was that it could possibly be the door actuator, but the sound seems to come from under the hood and not near the doors. I hope someone could help, hopefully it's nothing to serious. (P.S. it's a 2014 335i).

Without a video, we can only guess what the sound you are hearing is.

Sounds like it could be the valvetronic eccentric shaft actuator.

Sorry about that, I thought I had attached a video along the post. I got this video from a YouTube post that says it’s the door actuators. I personally feel like it might not be that, since it comes from near the hood, and not the doors.

This should be the video, it didn’t attach to the last response

SOLVED
took the bimmer in for a check engine light that ended up being the valvetronic motor, Thankfully the warranty covered it. Seems like the noise is gone for now. Hopefully it stays that way.

I don't remember the number from the top of my head, but it was around 101,600 miles. It was bought at 101,100 miles, so it didn't take long for us to notice.
