I would like to replace the side mirror glass on my f30, but I am having a hard time finding the right replacement. The glass that is in the unit now has a somewhat thick black plastic border on it. But everything that I see online does not have this frame on the glass. realoem.com gave me part number 51167285004 but online sites show it without the glass like this
or this. It is a 2014 328i base with heated and dimming mirrors.

Thanks. I see that. I guess that the black frame indicates auto-dim? Is there a separate part number for the auto-dim versus the one that real-oem gave me?

I changed mine to heated dimming euro convex frameless mirrors. The black frame reduces the already small field of vision. Imo frameless is better.
