You know, when I saw the side shot, my first thought was that the proportions were similar to an SN95 Mustang.

Looking great from the side profile. not sure about the bloated mirrors and the bonnet shape.

Can't judge the front lights yet of course as they are so covered up. Given this was the worst feature imho of the F30, I await with interest.

I agree...it looks really long. Building in more separation between the 1er coupe and 3/4 coupe?

"We expect the F32 to hit dealer showroom floors no earlier than Autumn 2013."

Why do you say that? The coupe is always just a year behind the sedan. Scott26 has said about the same elsewhere, saying deliveries/sales of the F32 will start summer of 2013.

While I'm very interested to know what's going on with the development of the new 3er coupe...these early testing models are always so hideous...I really wish I hadn't seen it. It's like looking at a supermodel DURING the plastic surgery.

August 2013?? The only thing that's too long about this car is the wait!

It does look like a Mustang. How many coupes do you need? Where is the Z2?

Wonder how can people can actually say something on the design of the car at this stage, but it has cleary grown in proportions wise.

Should be interesting to put those pics side-by-side with early F30 mules so we can at least have some idea about how close to it the coupe might be.

If you told me that was a Mustang mule I would have believed that too.

100% agree. I have confidence in the look of the final product of course but this looks like a current gen Mustang......strange.

What's even funnier is that people said the exact same thing about the F13 and F12 mules with this stage of development.

Once again, proving you cannot judge final product on a camoflaged prototype.

Hoo boy, does that look bloated. Now all we need is a live axle in back and a "MUSTANG" sticker on the rocker panel. I get that the camo hides the details, but you can still see the overall shape, and that is a chunk. I dont think the Mustang looks bad, just dont think a BMW should look like one. Oh yeah, KEEP THE 3 SERIES MONIKER!

I'm all for progress, but sheesh!

My thoughts exactly! And what is up with the circle taillights?

I know its very early with all that camo, but I can't say it looks sleek (unless you also think a Mustang does). It has to get better as the camo comes off (It can't get worse). Looking forward to more naked pics.

Its interesting how this comes out finally just days after the F30 is unveiled. Guess its time.

How so? They are half covered in camo. They just left a spot in the middle for the driver to see out of.

In these photo's, unfortunately it looks like a Mustang to me. Can someone do a photoshop overlay? The dimensions look very similar. Regardless, the production model will likely look very different.

I think the camoflouge adds some length to it... still got a ways till we can make any real judgement...
