Completely agree. Especially for all the hype they draw for the advancement and symbolism that come from the headlights ... its like the rear lights are just an annoyance to them or something

I think the lines are elegant...and we have no idea what will really happen with the car in terms of the details so hard to tell.
I'm an e92 owner...and I'm not hating! I like the roofline a lot on this car...more differentiation from the sedan than with the e90/e92. |

The wide open mouth and protruding nose kills it, and the size and the weight for sure will too. If you peel the camo off, it will look worse, I don't think the render is even close.

Ultimately, I think the pillar spacing will be more stretched and if this artist simply color-filled over the camo via Photoshop, etc. then the extra body panels are still there. I can't imagine the back half of the car being that pronounced, compared to the front, when it's all said and done. As a prior poster pointed out, this isn't the real car. Well no s***, but if one is going to try to paint the car to whet the imagination, then it should be as accurate as possible. The key there is "possible."

Having now had the time to sit back and look at the render I am not overly excited and bored to be honest as we appear to have degressed rather than progressed.
Given the dues that the render was straight from one of the scoop photographs they seem to have, at the rear quarter incorporated the plastic panels that are hidden under the camouflage to beef the car out and hide some of the detail such as the surface design work. So that should be smoothed out more and look less bulky- The best idea is to look at the latest Autobild rendering that seem to have the outline and the sculpture work in the best idea possible. Now that BMW see the need for the Coupe to be more independent from the sedan in not only design but this time in name. So in order to stretch the Coupe away from 2dr Sedan even more so than the E92 it will not inherit the complete face and tail features from the 3er. The E92 already done this to great success so it will be carried over to the 4er. The front end of the car will not be a pure carryover from the sedan. It will use the idea of the connected grille ( As will all future BMW's) but will do it differently from the sedan. Like the E92 we will see a more sportier looking slimmer headlight a bit like this render but will use a wider and deeper twin-kidney grille than the 3er. The new 4er will have to stay true to two bloodlines now - The BMW Coupe "Bloodline" and the 3er "Bloodline". Which means there will be Coupe traits from the 6er- mixing sportyness with dynamic elegance and the details from the 3er but interpreted in a more sportier, powerful way.

BMW needs to find something else to change for the LCI. It's friggin ridiculous we have to go back to the standard bulbs, only to get back LED's for the LCI. It's a joke that a car that costs this much doesn't have LED's to begin with.

Superb pictures...
...compared to the spy pics it should be right; but I do think the wheels are too small for the massive body of the car... I hope this isn't the case... |

Looks too weird, the shapes look out of proportion... Check out the E92 shape when it was still under camo, if you had it redesigned digitally, it would have looked weird as well...
