I love light blue colors, but I'm afraid this one is a little too powder blue girly for me.

What was that color BMW made for the 5-series E39 that looked mostly silver but it had a very small hint of blue tint to it? That was one of my favorite BMW colors. I wish they had it for the F30 sedan.

Not really a fan of this color. Needs a little more gray to it like steel grey, then we've got ourselves a nice color.

(F30) Official LIQUID BLUE F30 Photo Thread

I picked up my car about 3 weeks ago and have already put about 1200 miles on it. I was pretty much dead set on Alpine White, however this was sitting on the showroom floor and changed my mind. I've received quite a few complements on the color and I really like it. It's a base model with the premium package and heated seats (lol really need those in AZ). Sorry it's a little dirty.

Can somebody post some more of Liquid Blue, for crying out loud :-)

I'm trying to figure out if it's too girly looking for a single man like myself. By golly, I have a reputation to keep. Here's my thoughts on light paint colors:

Glacier Silver - Looks terrific while the design is new, but as design gets dated it blends with Camry's and other boring cars.
Mineral White + Alpine white - looks good on small cars, but not the big F30
Orion Silver - Who the heck asked BMW to drive a gold car?

So I'm hoping Liquid Blue might save me in a world of boring color options.

Keep GS washed/waxed and get it tinted and you'll never have to worry about it looking boring.. And if you're already worried about a colour being too girly for you, then it probably already is..

LB is too girly.

And my AW F30 looks great, btw.

The thing is I haven't seen a F30 Liquid Blue in person. My local BMW has had the same two black F30's on its lot since the February launch.

I think LB is a great color and very similar to Blue Water Metallic from previous generation Bimmers (e9x and e39). If you can find one of those, you'll get a very good idea of what it looks like. It's very classy and with a high-contrast interior (e.g. Black or Everest Grey) and a light tint on the windows, it's chic and sporty.

Here's an M5 in BWM. Let's see somebody call this girly.

I installed my M-Performance grills this morning. It was pretty easy and took no more than 25 minutes. I wasn't sure if it was going to look good or not, but I think it looks really nice. They look much better in person.

Felt like this thread was a little bit spartan and found some good shots from a dealer's eBay ad. Enjoy!

How interesting-- almost looks like there is a hint of purple in liquid blue. Looks alot different in the sun than in the showroom/shade in earlier pics.

This car was at BMW of Mountain View and I saw it the other day riding home. Given the lighting conditions, I'd say this is pretty accurate. In low light, the blue almost disappears and it looks silver. Guess it's just like most BMW metallics insomuch as it shifts a lot under different lighting conditions.
