Just got the wife a 2015 428i vert sport line with cold weather, DAP, HK, Premium, and Nav. for our 10 year aniv. and so far we're loving it here in DC area (surprisingly I dont see many 4 series at all on the roads here in N. VA).

Reporting back - I want my F10 back

Half serious about that. The F33 is nice but this is my first convertible. I'm driving with the the top down most days. Its a very sexy car and had an amazing time doing ED. I get a lot of attention and I like the car overall. However in the "Real World" of sitting in an hour of traffic each way of my commute, I don't think the 4 series is ideal for me.

The main problem is that I came from an F10. And my F10 was very nice. Anti-Roll, Luxury 20 Way Seats with Air Vents, Extended Dash Panel, Comfort + Suspension. Once I put the 19" 750Li wheels and tires on, the car felt closer to a 7 series than the typical 5. So the 4 isn't even close but its completely different. Its sporty and I've been spoiled by the comfort and plushness of the F10.

I can't really complain about the F33. It delivers what it promised but I think my old man days are setting in and I prefer comfort over looking cool. If I could afford a daily driver and a weekender I'd keep it but that's not realistic for me.

I'm going to put my F33 up for a lease trade. If someone wants it then I'll likely order a new F10 or F15.

Abinder, my dealer has a Glacier Silver 435i xDrive Black Dakota interior coming in a week.

I'm looking to swap out of an '09 Z4 and a '13 Touareg for this full time as my DD. Options are M, Cold, Tech and Driver Assist.

It's spendy but those are the primary adds I would've picked. Will want to see this color combo in person. Would've picked Grey/red or something less common.

How you liking yours? Using it on a decent commute or more a weekender?

I have had the car for over a year, and I am beyond happy with it. I drive it to work every day, and some on the weekend. I did 11k miles the first year. The drive is amazing, and the roof mechanism is very convenient. I live in New England, and I put the top down on occasion every month (50 degrees and above you are good if you have the cold weather package). For the other 9 months I have it down all the time.

The options you listed are perfect. You'd be surprised, but glacier silver with black is not that common. I've seen a few dark blues, dark grey, and a white, but no silver. Silver with black is a classic and the blue stitching on leather is sweet.

Did you buy it? Happy?

I did get it...and so far at 1200 miles or so, very glad. Agree, at 50F I will be more than likely to keep the top down w/ the heat (including steering wheel and neck) rolling out...the wind screen works phenomenally well. So much so that I'm thinking about adding one to my son's '13 Mini Cabrio. Hope it works as well for that car.

Love the technology in the vehicle and really looking forward to longer trips in it at some point. This is my DD...the only thing it's missing in my mind is adaptive cruise, Carplay and...? Those were two I was looking at getting in my next vehicle. But with Waze on the iPhone...don't really feel I'm missing out on Carplay at this point.

Love the HUD on this car and the scroll wheel to hit Preset stations.

The only other thing that would make me happier would be a bit higher mpg. Getting 21-22 right now and mostly in Sport+ at around 900miles...and simply not willing to go EcoPro to achieve it

Just under 10k....zero issues so far. Still love it...even at 48F w top down on the commute.

Combo of heated seats, steering wheel, neck scarf, blasting heat in the cabin along with the wind screen means a lot of top down driving for me in the Midwest.

I love my new 430i MSport auto. I ha€™ve the pro radio which gives me DAB radio (I?m in the UK) and nav.
What I?d like is to switch my display to show my speed in either kph or mph, which I can do in my other car, a Jeep Wrangler.
Is there a way to do this.

Well the good news is that the Carly app for iOS has allowed me to set the digital speedometer. When I set the distance units in iDrive to miles, I he digital speed displays as mph. If I set the units to km then the digital speedometer displays the speed in kph ; which is exactly what I wanted ??

Exclamation help

I was driving on the highway doing about 60mph low RPMs when i tried to pass someone i give a little gas and the car stuttered and like hesitated. i tried, again and again, to be sure I'm not dripping out. so i put my foot down harder and it just went with no problems. i have a 2019 430i Xdrive and its tuned stage 1 with bm3. i went back to stock. i went straight to the app to diagnose the car and I got back some errors.

I have a 2020 that will get a little water through on the passenger side when it goes through a car wash. The water comes in where the two side windows meet in the middle where the B pillar would be. Nothing on the driver’s side.

Where is you leak specifically and when does it happen?

Hi IceWaterPete,

The leak on my car is on the left side (driver side) the windows were not closing properly. Now there is a drip now and again specially after car wash a drip on my arm. I went to BMW garage and they readjusted the windows. But since, I have had more problems (hose on the cooling system).

Did you get the windows readjusted?

Which F33?

Looking to upgrade from my 2011 328i convert to a newer 4 series, 2020 or older. I hate the new grill.

I would prefer the 6 cylinder 440 but they are not nearly as common as the 4 bangers. I've had turbo 4s in a few Saabs way back when and was OK with them. Are the 4s reliable? Which one would be preferred? Some years more of an issue than others?

Many are also available with x drive. I won't be driving in snow so I don't think I need x drive. I'm very happy with the traction and stability of my 2011. Is the x drive reliable? More stuff to break?

As for color choices, I much prefer a light color interior with the top down. Black seats and trim in a convert can burn! Looks like that keeps me to the earlier years of the 4 series convert. Comments?

Any other issues to consider, especially regarding reliability?

Thanks all

The seats provide a clearer preview of the M4's final design, based on recent photos shared on the F80/F82 forum.
