Check Engine Light and Thermostat failure
Hey guys,
Just wanted to put it out there, had a check engine light come on yesterday on the way back from work. Called in for to get it checked, and it was a failed water pump and thermostat Getting it replaced under warranty and will have the car back next week sometime, car is 328i, Nov 2014, 36000 kms so far... On the edge of the factory warranty running out as well....

I think there was a "recall" for the thermostat. Mine was a nov 2013 328i. I can't remember exactly what they called it, one of those recalls but not a recall.
It was done when my car was in for service. I never got any check engine light. But there were fault codes when they did a scan. |

Hey guys, not sure you you could offer some advice.I have a 2016 320i, once I turn the car on the thermostat goes up almost approaching 120, regardless of driving or the car still being in park. Had a broken coolant bottle and damaged hose which was replaced last year. Recently did a servicing. Would love to hear what y’all think.
