Experience with 10.25" android 7.1 HU's

Hello,
does anybody know if I need any update?
I don't think the MCU is updated because I have an issue when I'm trying to update it (the same one that many other users reported), but is the rest updated? Android version etc?

Guerillah Can you tell us if Google maps work?
On 7.1 systems it doesnt. Waze is better I think but it would be nice to have the option....
I am thinking about upgrading the screen to 7.1 but thats also because I seem to have some kind of screen defect on it (that seems impossible to capture on picture

)
Its like a damaged column of pixels on 1/3rd of the screen...

Where can I find it? It's not in the google drive's sharefolder.

Has anyone managed to replace in system Music or/and Video "apps" with other?
Music app is very annoying. Once you start it, it will be started on every boot. Any ideahow to avoid this?

I think if you select any other "APP" and then switch off that should solve it loading Music when you start.(Only need to do it once, not every time). I find the same thing happens if I selected BT last too.

As for replacing the Music and Video tiles, I use a Launcher instead...everything I want on one screen

Google Maps works fine on my Ugode 7.1 system. It is for a X3/X4 so slightly different screen but should all be the same inside. I used the supplied antenna mounted on the dash. Touch wood not had any issues with it.

Only issue I do have currently is when playing about with the Bluetooth, it's managed to lock itself in "initializing" mode and can't seem to get out of it.

Anyone know how to reset the unit without losing all loaded apps etc?

Google maps works without any problems on android 8 version although I just recently started using Waze and enjoy it quite a bit more than Google maps.

Who's the owner of the Google Drive shared-folder?
It would be useful to have both AutoPlay apk there, and also the latest versions of Android image and MCU..

Not by any means. But the reset with this firmware can remove the under-illuminated android screen. see posts 1336, 1555, 1557 and 1559.
