Tire suggestion for 513M on F30 Msport

Currently, I am running staggered 400Ms 225/45/18/8j front and 255/40/18/8.5j in the back.

Now I have opportunity to upgrade to staggered 513Ms with factory tires MPSS 255/40/18/9j and 275/40/18/10j. My car is 330i with Msport suspension and brakes, so I am worried about 513M's rub or misfitting issue.

Can I run 225 in front and 255 in the back with 513s? Or which tire setup should I choose to avoid rubs, wrong MPH readings and issues.

225/45/18 255/40/18 is too stretched on 9" & 10" widths"

235/45/18 front, 265/40/18 rear is best with your setup

245/40/18 275/35/18 is best if you're lowered more than M-sport suspension.

Thank you mate!

What about wrong readings of speed and milage? Will it negatively affect gear ratios or transmission?

There will be slight differences in gearing, speedo and odometer, however it is nothing worth considering.

If you want OEM diameter, 255/40/18 front, 285/35/18 rear is possible but the tire shoulders will poke a lot and front will be close to rub at full lock turn.

here are some F30 with 255/40/18 front, 275/40/18 rear, tire sizes from M3/M4, which you could try as well.

this one is 235/45/18, 265/40/18 on x-drive wheel gap. your m-sport gap rwd is lower and look better.

The stock M3/4 tires shouldn't rub if running the stock MPSS or MP4S tires. Only once you go to a 200 tread tire you might rub the fender liner in the back.

Whatever alohasurftoad advised you. But as weehe126 said, there's no rubbing front or rear with the M3/M4 dimensions (255/40F, 275/40R). I would keep the same dimesions as is on the 513M since you are not x-drive.

I run the factory m4 513m tire size. Odometer runs slightly faster. 255 in the front, 275 in the rear.
