Thank you, Bimmercode! Coding (dummy level) really helped to amp up my driving experience.
Most thankful: 1. Disabling the warning disclaimer. 2. Disabling Auto Stop/Start. In DC, there is so much stop and go traffic that this function became maddening. 3. Starting in ECO Mode. I don't mind being overtaken by a Corolla S at the line. And, premium gas pricing just eats into your budget. 4. Having the radio shut down once you turn off the ignition and then open the door (in that order). Prior to coding, I was always paranoid that the engine was still running, so I would keep hitting the Start/Stop button and just lose track of where I was. BTW, I say "in that order" because I notice that when this is coded … if you open the door first (which is what I do) before you hit the Start/Stop button, the radio continues to play (just as if it wasn't coded). Things that did not work for me (2014 pre-lci 335i sedan). a) M// Sign would not code successfully. b) Sport Display does not work with my vehicle. c) When unlocking the car, I wanted to change the setting to 3 light blinks. Right now, it blinks twice and the car chirps twice in synch. I thought that by changing to 3 blinks, the car would also chirp thrice (helps when you are in a vast parking lot). But, the car only chirps twice. So I reset it back to its original setting. d) With two kids that just graduated from their booster seats, I coded for the backseat seatbelt chimes to enable. But, that also doesn't seem to work in my car. Coding Wishes: 1. Coding an inflatable co-pilot (a la Airplane) to allow me to get on the HOV lane. 2. Coding the rear speakers to say "Shhhh!" when my kids start to raise their voices (above 85 db) arguing with each other. 3. Coding my OEM 6.5" screen to be able to take out the "stretch" when upgrading to a higher-size screen (which is why I've decided to stay with the 6.5"). Is there a forum thread where we express our realistic coding wishes to Bimmercode? It could be coding ideas yet to be introduced or suggestions that would bring Expert Mode items up to the Dummy Level. That would be a great read! |

Great thread!
The most impactful and beneficial coding I've done includes: Enhanced Bluetooth for sure (using e-sys cable and coding) Easy driver access IDrive off when opening driver door Disable seatbelt warning Disable iDrive startup warning Digital speedometer on dash Windows up and down with key fob Mirrors auto fold and unfold with car lock and unlock (no delay) Lights flash 3x during lock or unlock Decouple radio trim lighting from dash lighting Tire pressure and temperature values display on iDrive Start with auto-start/stop off |

Hi, I have got the Bimmercode, and I have coded almost everything possible ....
-wheels on steering wheel - sports gearbox -sport + -Put idrive when opening driver's door -Plug mirrors when closing car -Activate fog lights algirar steering wheel -Disable bus because change halogen bulbs for LED. -activate led door lights when going backwards. -activate board speed. -Activate sports watches and some of the Xdrive, which is not very good for what it is used for ... I put a photo at the end, if anyone knows, please tell me. -activate welcome lights, (day, fog and doors) .. etc. I don't remember more things now ... It has been a good purchase, and very easy to use .... |

I have seen some guys have mirrors turn signal on and solid while driving. I was wondering if there was a code in bimmercode that could achieve that. There’s bunch of ppl on TikTok who have done this and said it’s in bimmercode but k personally couldn’t find it.

To turn on mirror lights while driving you can use bimmercode expert mode in the FEM.
Do this and it must work. |
