Nope, just a single 3 minute exposure using a 10 stop ND filter.
Thanks.

On Thatcher , my view is she was a warmonger , and realised this would boost her reputation. She didnt ok this because she wanted to save a few hundred civillians and a few thousand sheep. It was to further her career. Same as shutting coal mines , steelworks and decimating communities. Kept her in power.
At the time friends worked for the company that owned the Falkland Islands Company. I also lived in a mining community where Thatcher was (and still is) despised. Yet people thought what she did was the right thing.

You can disagree but I suggest, as that is a political view, you keep it to yourself. There is no right or wrong answer so it will only ever be opinions...

And yours is wrong

I never mentioned a political view ?
And by all means 'suggest' i keep my view to myself . Although you didn't keep your view to yourself.
Also some people may have as you said thought what she did was the right thing i think they would be in the minority.
Many of the problems the UK now faces were created during the Thatcher years , She casts a very long shadow.

"I never mentioned a political view", followed swiftly by a paragraph of political views.

This is the photography thread. If you wish to start one on politics, or the Falklands, or Thatcher, you could always create a new thread? Better than ruining this one for those that like to post or look at the photos on here.

You knew perfectly well that your first post would be provocative and it was completely unnecessary.

Its a political topic so obviously a political view...

Did you not see the winking smiley at the end....

Ah because the Uk was a wonderful place to be in the 1970s before she sorted some of the shit out... three day weeks, winter of discontent, British Leyland, massive productivity bonuses to the miners to dig coal that they didnt have customers for and left stood in fields where its calorific value declined...

We should go back there immediately....

Firstly i think what was provocative was for someone to suggest the 'raid' on stanley airport was Daring. i merely responded to that , no hijack intended.
And on re reading my post i still dont see a paragraph of political views , maybe your reading something else.

I didnt say it was a wonderful place in the 70s , i remember shipyards in glasgow on a 3 day week , and my father havin to pinch coal from the local angling club , a 4 mile trek for 2 hours of heat for his family.
But...
Nobody in government before Thatcher decided to sell the country off to foreign bidders.
To sell off water , telecoms , rail , gas ,while shutting down major industries. And sell off council houses. No plan for after. What did she do with all that cash ?
The UK has never recovered from this. Do you see Germany or France selling off their infrastructure to foreign investors , No chance. How can any country move forward when all your main assets are owned and controlled from overseas. Thatcher 'ucked this country , and its effects are still being felt. There is no denying it , though i'm sure one of you fools will try.

Some years ago i spoke to (now) Admiral Peter Dunt who was an Staff Officer to Adm Sandy WoodWard Task force Commander and they had professional admiration and respect for the Pilots that were sinking our ships. They would have been a real threat to our bombers attacking an airfield that had its own defences on top.

The UK Govt at the time tried various diplomatic avenues including the UN to try and avoid any conflict. To suggest that Thatcher did this (and got Argentina to invade) to win an election is purely false. She would have fought that war any year you like on a matter of principle. In the end however there are no winners in war. Both sides lost husbands, sons, brothers and fathers.

Who the hell are you to say what the Falkland islanders want? They're as British as anyone.
You need some fresh air or something.
