Never imagined choosing a wheel would be so difficult

Especially since I already know what I like (5-Y shape as concave as possible), I know the setup in want (19x8 F, 19x9.5 R) and I already know my budget ($2k maybe a bit more).
The thing is, there are some unknown brands that offer cheap but full forged wheels.

Obviously, full forged is better than cast or flow formed, but on the other hand, I tend to trust a well known brand, rather than a brand I know nothing about.

I found the VS Forged VS08 that I like. Full Forged, lightweight, the design I like, and even within my budget more or less.

BUT, I can't find any review on this wheel or this company. They don't really say anything about the manufacturing process of the wheel on their web site.
I found on the net a dealer that said they are constructed under a pressure of 1500lb, and I know other brands are using up to 10,000lb pressure for full forged wheels.

Does it mean I shouldn't buy it? Is it better than Flow Formed wheels from a well know brand?

It's really hard to take decisions with so little reliable information.

If it was the same price range, What would you do?

Would you go for a well known brand and settle for flow formed wheel, or go for an uknown brand that offers full forged wheel?

VS Forged wheels are made by Vertini and Stance.

most forged wheel offerings are machine forged, which is basically CNC cut out of forged aluminum billet.

Rays offers a more "true" type forging process called mold form forging, where the basic design of the wheel is formed by heat and pressure before being cut by CNC. all things equal, mold form forged should be stronger than machine forged.

on the street you'll never realize or exploit the difference between machine forged or flow formed. if you crush a pothole either will likely take damage. so it depends on if you want to say you have a forged wheel or a name brand flow formed for the same price.

personally, i think Vertini and Stance are both reputable enough and I'd rock VS Forged

Gonna throw my 2 cents in. VS forged are legit. I believe I heard that the vs02 are the lightest one's they make. Similar design to vs08. Titan 7 is another affordable forged wheel brand but with more limited selections in f30 sizes. Having said that, I believe that flow forming has come a long way. From a weight standpoint they are competitive with forged. Strength-wise, forged still wins, but unless you live in an area with absolutely horrible roads or unless you intend on going with 25% aspect ratio tires, the strength of flow forged is more than enough, especially given the price difference.

I'm personally looking at Aodhan aff7 wheels. Flow forged and super light and only $900
