Sales Associates / dealer recommendations in the GTA

I'm ready to order a car this week and I was wondering if anyone can recommend (based on past experience) any trusted Sales Associate at dealers around the GTA. You can PM me their contact and let me know if I should also mention your name for any referral favours

If you could also share the sort of deal you were able to get, I would really appreciate it! I'm kind of new to this thing and wanted to get an idea of what I can shoot for (looking to lease a 4 series).

Thanks in advance

I'd focus more on which dealer is going to be more flexible with all of the fees some try and tack on to the purchase. It kills me that Parkview and BMW Toronto try to get $400 for nitrogen tire inflation (and call it Ride Green, so that unsuspecting buyers think it's some kind of government program) -- that alone is enough to avoid them.

That's a good point as well, which I have been trying to find out. How much wiggle room is there on all these fees?

Two that stick out are the Ride Green Certified ($399) and Admin Fee ($399). I'm assuming that the AC tax, Freight and PDI are fixed?

Stepped into BMW Toronto and quickly stepped out. I'd avoid that place like the plague.

Mississauga was pretty good and was willing to move on my car (off the lot). Fees were pretty low. They were favorable with my trade in as well.

Don't pay anything for Ride Green. They may push back, but just tell them you don't want it then and will have regular air in your tires (i.e. 80% nitrogen, like all air!). They'll cave and waive the fee.

What vehicle are you getting? If you are willing to take a car from existing inventory, most of the dealers have online access to their inventory now. You may get a better deal on something they can get off the lot quickly to hit volume targets.

Good feedback, thanks guys.

I'm looking for an average optioned 4 series coupe (premium package basically), so nothing out of the ordinary that would require a special order. It would be great to find the colour combo that I want, but if not I'm willing to wait for an order (or to have it brought in from a different dealer, etc.).

The big question that I still need to answer for myself is 428 vs 435 ... but that's a never ending debate it seems, and it's proving to be a harder decision for me than I thought.

If you care that much about the power but are on a budget go with M235i if power is not your priority save the money and get the 428.

I certainly care about power, but I'm trying to determine if it's worth the ~$100/month difference between the 428 and 435

Good idea. M235 has all that. Parkview has (8 last week) a few that they are discounting over 10%. Great car.
Can't believe anyone is still trying to sell Nitro . Incredible slap in the face IMO.

I personally had a great experience at Budds' and got a very good deal as well. They beat all other offers presented by the other dealers including T+C (who were very aggressive).

A lot of people seem to like Mississauga, but I had a horrible experience there. When I told them my purchase would be at least 2 months out, they quickly changed their tone and said they had no vehicles for test drive. They told me to book an appointment for a test drive and whenever I called the guy back, he kept giving me a bs story. Anyways, I ended up buying 2 weeks later, and obviously not from them.

Budd's is a good place to buy (I dealt with Jeff Budd - good guy/fair/not pushy), but their service department is mediocre at best. I suppose you can service at the dealership closest to your house, which if you don't live in Oakville, doesn't need to be Budd's...mind you I've read horror stories about pretty much all GTA BMW service departments - so it's like picking which type of cancer you want to die from. Charge for Nitro is laughable, tell them to let it out and give you regular air...it's a loonie at any service station or free if you have a compressor/bicycle pump at home! I don't remember Budd's trying to put that one over on me. Most dealerships won't move on the admin fee. It's BS - how much does it cost them to have a $12/hr office drone file some paperwork? They get pretty picky about it though. Try mentioning reducing their holdback if you really want to rile them up...

Anyone ever use easycardiscount.com? Never used them personally but would be interested in feedback if anyone has used them. Apparently it's a no cost to you service that will get you a good buy or lease price on a vehicle specific to Canada. Unlike carcostcanada or unhaggle there are no fees. Lots of info on their website. Re dealerships in the GTA. Went to Budds and test drove a 3 series a couple of years ago. Rich Acosta in sales was excellent. Visited Mississauga and it took them 45 minutes to even find a 328i for me to test drive and that was on a Tuesday morning and the place was empty. Mississauga BMW always seems like no one is interested.

Would avoid Maranello in Vaughan - just headaches.

Also, would suggest test driving the m235 vs the 428.

Yes, the m235 drives incredibly well, but I found the space inside way too cramped compared to the 428.

Way too cramped??? I have a 2 series coupe and I am 6 foot guy and certainly don't find the 2 cramped. Unless you are riding back seat all the time. Trunk wise fold down seats and I can get easily 2 golf bags in or even all 4 of my 18 inch wheels when switching over summer vs winters..transport home from garage.

Great Dealer and SA

Endras BMW in Whitby are OUTSTANDING! The service department are fantastic too. I have bought several BMW and Minis here and the service is unbeatable. The SA's are all great and Matthew Lay is friend of mine that I would highly recommend. He will certainly help you determine which model is right and then he will make the deal happen. Give him a call and tell him Al referred you. Matthew Lay

BMW of Mississauga is now owned by Pfaff Automotive, and they sponsor our BMWTrueNorth club. This means they give a discount to all our members.

Its 20% off all parts and accessories as well btw.

I also helped three members get a new car from them. If anyone needs help, let me know. I know the people at the dealership.

+1. After being acquired by Pfaff, BMW of Mississauga has really stepped it up in customer service. The service department, parts and sales are all receptive to your needs and are willing to help you out as much as possible.

wow. Is this a hype ?? I got to visit there for my next buy.

I went there 3 yrs ago and not impressed by their attitude ... "price is the price, not going to discount a penny off the car", "there are buyers lining up for the vehicle and if you don't like it, the next person will"

"People lining up", lol ya...ok buddy. I would have said "Really? Maybe they're lining up to tell you what a douche you are and how they're going to buy a car from your competitor." Jackass.
