Car unlocks slowly

When I unlock it with the button on the dash or with Comfort access the little buttons on the door seem to lag.

When the car is running they seem to work fine, but not all the time.

Is this an indication of a weak or dying battery??

I had a similar symptom and it turned out to be a door actuator. This happens to all the doors in your case?

Are you able to start your car? It takes hundreds of amps from the battery in order to crank the engine. No way a slow actuator points to the battery if you're able to start your car. BMW has always had issues with door lock actuators and window regulators. Why they continue to use sub par vendors for these components is a mystery to me.

I have something similar but only with the passenger door. Dealer looked at it and told me they don't notice any issue. It's been this way for over a year.

The dealerships make it so difficult when you start recommending things? I haven't come up with a nice way to say it besides

"I've read somewhere that it can be the door actuator?" Then they reply

"Our lead top of the line professional shop foreman have looked over and everything is up to spec" Then you as the customer can only respond

"Ok." It's like if they don't want to repair it but you know there's a solution, you come off like a whiny customer.

I understand, but if you're nice but firm they'll eventually bend. Don't let it go. We paid a lot for these cars and something like the doors unlocking and locking properly should just work. If they won't budge, go to another BMW dealer and let them know they lost your business.

I remember on my 2014 328i that I saw a gradual slowing of the actuator response when locking/unlocking the car. Eventually, I had an intermittent issue where the driver's door would not open when pulling the latch from the inside. The dealers were replacing the lock actuators when the symptom was brought up by customers. There is a long thread about this.

I had a similar experience with start-stop and wanting the car reflashed
