I think there is a faulty batch of control units as this seems to be a common fault on 2014 / 2015 models.
I had the problem too, a very annoying error that just goes around in a loop and keep beeping at you. It also fails to reset tyre pressures

Just got back from dealers and all ok now. They said 'yeah all your tyres were low so we put some more air in and its ok now'. That took two and a half hours?
Hmm, so the indicated tyre pressures have been in limits for the past three months of ownership, I manually checked them when the indication first flagged up a few days ago (cold and warm) and all ok. The sceptic in me thinks they may have changed the module and not been strictly open Either that or they inflated them by mouth for them to take 2 1/2 hours to cure it...... |

Help! I've been at this same issue for weeks now.... Can't seem to get any answers. Even replaced the tpms with the rubber ones from Discount Tires, but still no luck. It would just start to reset until 49% then does nothing until it would eventually go back to "TPMS Malfunction". After reading as much as I can regarding this issue online, I am thinking it really could be a module issue or even the control center, but I bought my 2014 328d used and I would assume that I don't have any warranty anymore. I even went to a BMW dealer to schedule a check up, and they were letting me know that diagnostic may cost me $250, and obviously, they cannot work with the rubber aftermarket tpms which Discount Tires had put on. Is there another way of fixing a module or control center issue without having to go into the dealer?

I have the same issue. I had to replace 1 TPMS because it got damaged at a car wash. Once the new one was replaced it still will not reset. the new one or the other 3. It goes from 0% to 49% stops and says Malfunction. I have a 2015 320i. Any ideas? Very frustrating. It does read any tire.

Same here, 49% then malfunction after having only 1 tpms replaced at mavis. I have a feeling they used the wrong sensor or didn't program it properly. Would 1 wrong sensor throw the whole system into malfunction?

This might help someone:
I have a 2015 335i M Sport (Build date: 03/2015) with a TPMS malfunction which resulted in RDC failure. RDC location: Underneath the rear deck lid. RDC Part number: 61-358-706-502 I am not sure if this needs to be coded or not, I will let you all know once part is swapped. |

I had the occasional TPMS warning that eventually became continuous.
Turned out it's was the aerial and was replaced under warranty and had no issues since. According to the dealer, it's a common problem. |

I found this in another post. Appears the original RDC was discontinued.
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=36106855180 Can someone let me know what RDC stands for? Thanx |

How much was the replacement part and did you do yourself or pay garage to do it?

FIXED THE TPMS.
So yesterday I picked up a replacement FBD-3 (TPMS Receiver) module for the car, and today I fitted it. Background - Intermittent RDCi Fault with summer wheels, consistently Front Left. Since spring 2020. Replaced valve & sensor, didn't fix it. Switching front wheels to opposite sides and still Front Left. Constant RDCi Fault with winter wheels, Position Unkown. Since last winter 2019/20. The replacement module has fixed the problem, but until I go a few weeks/months without the fault reappearing I'm not going to be fully confident it is completely fixed. But it's a good start. Plug & Play, no coding required. Just a RDCi reset through the Vehicle Status menu. New part number on the box (9626113), old part number on the module (9319081)

i'm facing the same 49% problem.... i've changed my summer tyres with some winter wheels and in the beginning i had the RDC error with 0% resetting progress. after a few days when i tried to reset again, it arrived at 49% and stayed there. i bought a second hand original set TPMS (one of my friends had it and i know they were functionally on his BMW), i mounted and i have the same issue: stuck at 49%. i remounted summer wheels, and everything allright. that's make me think there is one of tpms which plays me...so how can i find which one is? My TMPS only was not resetting with winter wheels, but summer wheels were fine. The problem was the receiver control unit in the car, not the wheels.

How do you access that hidden menu?
Also my car was throwing up the same fault code... RDCi Front Left, despite that NOT being the true fault. Replacing the module fixed the fault, so maybe the front-left "receiver" in the module was the fault, not the front-left "transmitter" in the valve..
