Some women test how cheap a man can get. It is a trap! Tell her she is suited to the 440i and that you think the Honda doesn't complement her. Rather than questioning her taste.

The only argument I had with mine was when I wouldn't allow her to drive the M3 E46 weekend car but I quickly learned that for women... what is theirs is theirs and what is yours is theirs.

Or... I care about your safety and couldn't imagine a world without you:

It would be a bit of an inconvenience trying to find a new wife.

Not for me but my darling wife.

At present she has a Peugeot 208 GTI, which I really like as it's a fun car.

208 bhp in a lightweight manual car.

I was hoping to get her in to a Golf GTI or an Audi A3.

But no, to prove she has no taste (she married me), she has booked a test drive for the new year (when weather is decent.

What has she booked?

A bloody Civic Type R.

It bloody horrible, total Transformers / Manga car.

Unfortunately she has seen one, read reviews in Evo etc.

Bloody women.

I am now living in the dog house for suggesting it was a bad idea..

Historically I am the one getting hassle for my choice of car

Have any other members ended in strife over choice of car?
I've learnt a very expensive lesson in the last three years. I no longer get involved in the Wife's car. Well only from a maintenance standpoint.

In the past I've made suggestions as to what I think she might like to drive. I even bought mine a Mini JCW in January. Only to find out she hated it.

So £1000.s of later I've given up. As long as it's not a real shitter. I have no opinion from a style point of view.

My wife wants a blue Maserati ghibli s q4..... she will only buy and not lease.... I don't want to deal with the electronics and issues when it goes wrong... : if she would lease I'm all in... purchase seems like it could be a bad idea... but it's a Maserati!! Luckily not a lime green Civic at least!
