Do you get 550 miles out of a tank in your 430d convertible? I just about get 430 miles with about 25 remaining...

I didn't get the maths either. I coasted 25 miles out of 40 and saved 7 miles of fuel. At the same time I almost fell asleep at the wheel and got passed by a fat bloke on a bike. I assumed it was for stats twats and went back to driving, vowing never to use it again.

So in theory then a 335d mapped with bigger intercooler and the dpf removed should pollute less when it passes by a 440i driver because it's going faster

try to avoid using it - although now I'm curious where it tells you this value on the digital cockpit - might have to have a look tomorrow.

Must admit, I forgot how old those dials make the dash look...

Exactly the same place it tells you on my vintage dash and dials I imagine.
Digital dash must be nice to look at whilst you plod along

Hmmm - tried it once or twice in my 335d when I got stuck in traffic on A roads and got it to +5mph... Stuff that for a lark, saw sense and blasted past the lot of them - felt much better watching my mpg plummet than watching it increase... Really miss the feature on my M3 - not - yes I could get 30 mpg out of it but I'm much happier with 22 mpg... I guess with the intelligence of the engine/gearbox management these days I don't get why we have to push any buttons - a light right foot should deliver economy and a heavy right foot should give instant performance - why on earth do we have to press a button to make a car utterly unresponsive in return for economy? It is as uncalled for as ASD, Stop/Start and artificial steering weighting on my M3...

My highest figure was +15, about 2 years ago. The one and only time I've used it.

Interminable boredom turned to frustration and then heightened blood pressure as I realised how utterly pathetic the car was to drive.

EcoPro ruins lives :

This is before the first service

There's talk about mileage going way down once service is done and a software update
Applied ?

Can I avoid it ?

Thats seriously impressive... must have been a lot of throttle off for coasting.... dont think i’ve ever had mine above 35miles... probably as its a lot of constant speed on cruise control.

I struggled to ever get over 10 extra miles. I was never sure when/how this resets itself though.

100+ is impressive

Resets itself on every tank of fuel and on this tank I had it constantly on Ecopro and drove to Haggerston castle and back. A lot of if motorway and A roads.

So the Eco Pro extra mpg is a comparison to how you drive in Comfort/Sport? I've a mate who drives a 320d ED on 16" balloons and he drives like a nun. He's always boasting he gets very high numbers in the baby seal meter.

Yes exactly that!
But I do agree that sport+ is much more fun

What i do like about the eco pro is that is knows if you are going from a 70 to say 50 zone and tell you when to take your foot off the pedal to coast it to the speed... even takes into account going uphill/ downhill and if you have the satnav on when to stop accelerating to coast to your turning.

How gave I managed to get it so high then when everyone seems to get 35 or less?
Wonder if it's to do with previous readings of previous tanks used and the driving style of that as I do have a bit of a heavy right foot and am also a fan of the sport button.
I was trying like fcuk though lol

63mpg actual in my 435d this morning up the M6 to Machester in Eco Pro.

83 miles driven, 573 remaining, 656 total range. So many roadworks might as well........ It's all 50 or 60mph limit.

Cant understand why you would buy a 330d to drive it in Eco Pro "most of the time." Why not just buy a 320d? They are pretty swift anyway compared to most cars.
