Post September Sat Nav Puma number

OK getting somewhere now, BMW have released a "PUMA NUMBER" on the faulty 2012 Sat-Nav system. That to the layman means they are admitting the system is faulty.
The Number : 52609163-04

'PUMA NUMBER' ? Does this mean I can take my F30 into a BMW Main dealer and ask for my ProfSatNav to be sorted?
Compared with my previous E90 I have noticed that some route proposals are quite extraordinary.

Thats what It's for, fore people ( that will be almost all) who have the latest cars with PRO NAV with problems
Give them a ring quoting the number.

So is there a fix and if so what does it entail?

Ring them and see what they say, have you got a problem with yours then?.
I am getting compensation so each to his own, I just let you all know, so when you end up in southend instead of essex you'll have a clue as too why.

So what's the fix? What's the expected outcome when I phone Knights tomorrow and they love me for ringing them with a Puma number less than 24hrs after delivery

Have you read my first post.........................
NO fix just phone them.
They only just owned up to the fault.
Giving a PUMA number means it's in hand for repair, that could take 3 months for the update.

Only phone them if you have a problem in that instance you will record your car's details and your ownership and go on the list of cars to fix, or customers to compensate, after all £2K for a Nav that sends you wrong is £2K down the shiter no.

Now they have admitted to me the fault is there they have to FIX IT.
I think all post September cars are like this, all three at listers are.
Along with mine that makes 4 in one dealership, no coincidence that is it.

I'm quite sure this will be addressed in a future software upgrade. When, no one knows for sure. I'll bet more than 3 months as BMWAG has a pretty lengthy test/debug procedure.

Garage List
So just to confirm, specific symptoms of the problem are:
- Sending you to the wrong location (i.e. Moscow instead of London).
- Showing congestion on the wrong side of the road.

But that sending you to the right location while using a route that is longer than expected is possibly just crappy Mapquest data?

Yes to all, but it also sends you off carriageways and then back on at the same junctions
Puts you up the wrong road when near destinations!!.
E20 post codes are not listed on the system, there may be many more , but I have only used the Nav for 2 weeks .
You need to check a google map for a journey distances will be shown and then X reference your destination on the Nav and see IF there are differences, on some routes it works fine.
BUT there in lyes the problemyou just can't trust it.
